Après son experience de designer industriel pour de grandes compagnies cosmétiques, où elle modélise des volumes, construit des ensembles dans un souci à la fois technique et esthétique, Sophie entreprend une formation en fabrication de bijoux. En 2008, elle s’oriente vers la création contemporaine.
Ingénieur en matériaux de formation, ce n’est pas un hasard si on la retrouve à la cheville de son établi. Elle trouve en effet son équilibre dans la confrontation à la matière. Et, à la manière de l’alchimiste, pour qui la voie à trouver est souvent en dehors de la matière elle-même, sa recherche est d’ordre spirituel - une manière de s’accomplir et de donner des sens à la vie.
Ses bijoux ou curiosités, dans leur symbolique ou leur manipulation, nous ouvrent les portes de la contemplation. Sous l’apparente langueur du songe, s’éveille une conscience.

After a few years of modelizing volumes for packaging in the cosmetic industry, designing both technical and aesthetic aspects of hollow bodies, Sophie starts training in Goldsmithing and Jewellery. In 2008, at graduation, she is definitively to follow her inspiration towards contemporary creation.
As she had at first graduated as a material science engineer, it is not a fate if Sophie can be found working on the jeweller bench. She indeed finds her personal balance in the confrontation to material. Akin to the quest of the alchemist, for whom the way to be found is often out of the matter itself, the nature of her work is of spiritual order. Creation is then a path to self-fulfillment and to a meaningful life.
